Dementia Support for You and Your Family

Caring for someone with dementia can be overwhelming, but you don’t have to do it alone. Medicare’s Guiding an Improved Dementia Experience (GUIDE) program provides personalized dementia support, care coordination, education, ongoing guidance and approximately 76 hours of no-cost respite care each year for eligible participants.

GUIDE helps people living with dementia and the family members and caregivers who support them.

Is GUIDE Right for You?

GUIDE may be a good fit if:

  • ✓ You have Medicare Parts A and B.
  • ✓ You want extra support managing dementia care.
  • ✓ You could benefit from no-cost respite care and care coordination.

Approximately 76 Hours of No-Cost Respite Care Every Year

Respite hours provide additional support when you need time to rest, recharge, or attend to personal needs.

Caring for yourself helps you care for your loved one.

GUIDE provides approximately 76 hours of covered respite care annually (about $2,500 in services) so caregivers can attend appointments, work, run errands or simply recharge.
